WELCOME TO MINTURN
The Town of Minturn, 5 miles west of Vail, is surrounded by the Holy Cross Wilderness area and National Forest on three sides. The upper Eagle River runs through the Town, providing a variety of scenic outdoor recreation activities for fishing, rafting, kayaking, and canoeing.
Minturn maintains the Old West Town character. It was settled in the late 1800s by homesteaders who farmed the land and by silver miners in 1887 when it became a booming crossroads for transportation and industry.
The Summer Minturn Market, located in the historic downtown area, is a perfect Saturday activity for shopping, socializing, and enjoying music. Little Beach Park, located along the Eagle River, is a popular gathering spot for live entertainment, picnics, and outdoor movies. Miles of hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country ski trails are just a few of the year-round recreation activities.
Homeowners who call Minturn home are dedicated to preserving the Town's quaint and friendly atmosphere while embracing a strong sense of community.
