Edwards, 14 miles west of Vail and 5 miles west of Beaver Creek includes several areas: Edwards, Homestead, Cordillera, and Singletree, all with amazing views and trails. The community was named after a local postal official, Melvin Edwards, back in 1883. Edwards has access to thousands of acres of hiking and biking in the Swatch Mountains, rafting and fishing in the Eagle River that flows through the area, and miles of paved trails.

 

The small-town appeals to many who enjoy gathering at local restaurants, farmer’s markets, jazz concerts on the river, and year-round vitality getting to know locals and guests. The Riverwalk shopping area has boutique shops, restaurants, movie theaters, banks, bookstores, bike shops, fitness facilities, hotels, and many professional businesses for the convenience of homeowners.

 

Edwards has a Field House with indoor gymnastics, basketball, and pickleball, as well as outdoor baseball and soccer fields and playgrounds. The local dog park is leash-free and enjoyed by pups and owners. The Colorado Community College offers classes and events for all ages. Health and Wellness facilities are centrally located in Edwards to meet the needs of locals and guests.
