Avon is 10 Minutes west of Vail, located at the entrance to Beaver Creek Ski Resort. The Eagle River flows through Avon and paved paths follow the river. Avon’s Nottingham Park has a performance stage for live entertainment, a swimming beach, paddle boarding, and a dock for small boat rentals, and the pond is stocked with trout for fishing.

 

The Avon Recreation Center has an indoor swimming pool for laps, a large slide for kids, exercise classes, fitness equipment, and indoor sports. The Avon Library is a favorite place to meet in the community room. Summer Rodeo in Avon attracts all ages. Retail ski shops, restaurants, medical services, and grocery stores are convenient to residents of Avon.

 

The Westin Riverfront Resort has a saltwater pool, a state-of-the-art fitness facility with classes, and a large terrace with views of the Eagle River and Beaver Creek. In winter the Westin gondola takes skiers directly up to the Beaver Creek ski lifts.
